Independence rolls over magicJack

Chester, PA (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Independence handed magicJack a 6-0 defeat at Leslie Quick Stadium on Saturday with Danesha Adams providing two goals and Veronica Boquete adding a goal and two assists.

Philadelphia moves into second place with the win and has now taken seven points from its last three games, while magicJack drops to third place after suffering its second defeat in three matches.

It took the Independence 14 minutes to start the scoring with Boquete setting up the first goal of the game for Adams, while Tasha Kai doubled the lead just after the half-hour mark.

Adams added her second goal of the match in the 67th, with Lianne Sanderson and Boquete scoring seven minutes apart before Holmfridur Magnusdottir capped the scoring in stoppage time.

The other match of the weekend saw the Atlanta Beat and Boston Breakers play to a 0-0 draw on Sunday, while the Beat returns to action against Sky Blue FC on Wednesday.
