Slovakia comes up short

Slovakia wasn't able to manage much offense.
Durban, South Africa (Sports Network) - The Netherlands won for the fourth time in as many games at the FIFA World Cup on Monday as it recorded a 2-1 win over Slovakia in a round of 16 match at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Arjen Robben opened the scoring after 18 minutes with a nice individual effort before Wesley Sneijder doubled the lead six minutes from time to send the Dutch well on their way into the quarterfinals on Friday against either Brazil or Chile, who will play later on Monday.

Slovakia was able to find its way onto the scoreboard with a Robert Vittek penalty kick, but it came seconds before the final whistle. continue>>
