Chicago's Radoncic named MISL Player of Week
Villa Park, IL (Sports Network) - Chicago forward Bato Radoncic tallied four goals and eight points to lead Chicago to a 16-12 win over the Missouri Comets on Sunday, and was named the Major Indoor Soccer League's Player of the Week.
Two of Radoncic's goals came during the fourth quarter as the Riot outscored the Comets, 8-0, in the final 15 minutes to overcome a 12-8 deficit. The win put an end to Chicago's three-game losing streak.
Radoncic moved into the top 10 among the league scoring leaders. He is tied for ninth in the MISL with 27 points and he leads the Riot with 11 goals.
Chicago is still last in the standings, just behind Missouri.
The Baltimore Blast defeated the Milwaukee Wave, 15-6, on Friday in the other match this week to take sole possession of first place. The Omaha Vipers, who are third, were idle.
