Maicon set for Roma switch
Rome, Italy (Sports Network) - Roma announced on Wednesday that the club has signed Manchester City defender Maicon less than a year after he completed a move to the Etihad Stadium.
The Brazil international joined City 11 months ago from Inter Milan, but he struggled to find regular first-team chances in Roberto Mancini's side because of injury and the play of Pablo Zabaleta, who was voted as City's Player of the Year.
Maicon made just four starts in the Premier League for City last term and appeared in 11 games total for the club, which will reportedly receive $4.5 million from Roma.
The 31-year-old captured four Serie A titles during his time with Inter, and he has been capped 66 times by Brazil in his international career.
