Juventus rallies to stay perfect

Genoa, Italy (Sports Network) - Juventus scored three goals in the final 30 minutes to secure a 3-1 win at Genoa on Sunday, extending the club's perfect start to the Serie A campaign.

Ciro Immobile handed Genoa a positive start when he scored in the 18th minute after exchanging passes with Andrea Bertolacci, but after Genoa failed to extend its lead, the hosts were punished in the final half hour.

Emanuele Giaccherini netted the equalizer for Juventus by scoring on a first- time shot from the edge of the penalty area after a pass from Mirko Vucinic.

Vucinic then put the visitors in front 12 minutes from time when he scored from the penalty spot after Kwadwo Asamoah was fouled inside the area by Genoa's Mario Sampirisi.

Asamoah wrapped up the points in the 84th when he finished off a deflected cross from Vucinic from a few yards, handing Genoa its second defeat in three games.

Lazio 3, Chievo 1

Verona, Italy - Lazio's strong start to the new season continued on Sunday as Hernanes scored a goal in each half to help Lazio claim a 3-1 victory at Chievo.

Hernanes got the scoring started in the fifth minute and set up Miroslav Klose's third goal of the season before halftime to double Lazio's advantage.

The Brazilian netted his second goal of the game in the 74th minute to put the result out of reach, while Chievo pulled a goal back in the last 10 minutes when Sergio Pellissier converted from the penalty spot.

Lazio joins Juventus and Napoli on nine points through three games, while Chievo sustained its second defeat in three matches.

Fiorentina 2, Catania 0

Florence, Italy - Fiorentina won for the second time in three games on Sunday by notching a 2-0 win at home against Catania.

Stevan Jovetic put the Viola in front shortly before halftime when he steered home Manuel Pasqual's pass, while Jovetic also had a hand in Fiorentina doubling its lead after the break.

The Montenegro forward did some good work to get free and set up a simple tap in for substitute Luca Toni, who had just entered the match as a substitute.

Catania had earned four points from its first two games but suffered its first loss of the campaign.

Napoli 3, Parma 1

Naples, Italy - Napoli kept rolling on Sunday with a comfortable 3-1 home victory against Parma that gives the club three wins from its first three games.

The home side took control from the start as Edinson Cavani scored a third- minute penalty kick after Parma's Antonio Kirante brought down Goran Pandev inside the area.

Pandev doubled Napoli's lead when he finished off a pass from Marek Hamsik, but Parma pulled to within a goal just before the break when Marco Parolo headed home a cross from Sotirios Ninis.

However, Napoli wasn't going to be denied on this day and substitute Lorenzo Insigne secured the win by scoring 13 minutes from time after being set up by Pandev.

Sampdoria 3, Pescara 2

Pescara, Italy - A goal in each half from Maxi Lopez guided Sampdoria to a 3-2 win at Pescara on Sunday, keeping the home side without a point so far this season.

Lopez had his team in front just after the half-hour mark, and Marcelo Estigarribia doubled the lead in the 60th minute.

Pescara failed to score a goal in either of its first two games, but found the net through Mervan Celik in the 75th minute, only for Lopez to answer right back and make it 3-1 to Sampdoria one minute later.

Gianluca Caprari scored a consolation goal for the hosts in the 90th minute, but it couldn't prevent them from dropping their third straight game, with the team being outscored 9-2 in the process.

Bologna 3, Roma 2

Rome, Italy - Bologna came from two goals down at Roma to secure a 3-2 win over the home side and claim its first points of the season.

After starting the campaign with back-to-back defeats, things couldn't have started worse for Bologna as Roma netted two goals in the opening 20 minutes, with Alessandro Florenzi and Erik Lamela both finding the back of the net.

But the visitors began to mount their furious comeback in the 72nd minute when Alberto Gilardino headed home Nico Pulzetti's cross.

Gilardino turned provider one minute later for Alessandro Diamanti's goal to level the match, and then benefited from a mix up in the Roma defense to score the winner in the 90th minute.

Roma goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg collided with defender Nicolas Burdisso, allowing Gilardino to win the match with a simple tap in.

Siena 2, Udinese 2

Siena, Italy - Udinese jumped on Siena early, but allowed the home side to score two goals in the final 20 minutes of a 2-2 draw at the Artemio Franchi.

Dusan Basta scored just three minutes into the game with a powerful strike, while Antonio Di Natale doubled the lead a few minutes later from close range, making it 2-0 to Udinese in the opening five minutes.

But the visitors were reduced to 10 men in the 52nd minute as Andrea Lazzari picked up his second yellow card, giving Siena the chance to take advantage.

Siena pulled to within a goal in the 70th minute when Alessio Sestu's cross was headed home at the back post by Emanuele Calaio, while the equalizer came five minutes later.

Angelo Ogbonna was pulled down inside the penalty area by Udinese's Maurizio Domizzi, allowing Ze Eduardo to slot home the tying goal from the spot.

Inter Milan 2, Torino 0

Turin, Italy - Diego Milito and Antonio Cassano scored as Inter Milan remained perfect on the road in Serie A with a 2-0 victory over Torino on Sunday at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino.

Inter opened the season with a 3-0 road win over promoted Pescara and, after a 3-1 home loss to Roma, added a win over promoted Torino to pick up full points away from the San Siro for the second time.

Milito opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a finish to the bottom left, and Cassano turned a pass from Ricardo Alvarez into the bottom left with seven minutes remaining.

Inter sits three points off the pace of Juventus, while Torino lost its first of the season and is six points off the top.
