Evian's Govou to miss six months with knee injury

Annecy, France (Sports Network) - Evian forward Sidney Govou will be out of action for the next six months after suffering a knee injury against Lille over the weekend.

Govou ruptured a tendon in his left knee during Saturday's 2-1 win over Lille, and he will undergo surgery on Tuesday, ruling him out of action until September.

The 33-year-old joined Evian in 2011 and has appeared in 18 Ligue 1 matches this season for the club, which sits two points above the relegation zone.
