Holloway handed two-match ban
London, England (Sports Network) - Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway was handed a two-match touchline ban on Wednesday for his actions in a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham on the opening weekend of the season.
Roberto Soldado scored the lone goal from the penalty spot for Spurs, but Holloway was upset with what he believed was a foul on one of his players in the build up that went uncalled.
Holloway confronted the officials on the field and continued his criticism after the match, earning himself the ban as well as a fine of $28,000.
The manager has opted not to appeal the decision and will have to watch his team from the stands in upcoming games at Manchester United and home to Swansea City.
