Bayern completes Barcelona drubbing

Barcelona, Spain (Sports Network) - Bayern Munich set up an all-German Champions League final by completing an emphatic drubbing of Barcelona on Wednesday, winning the second leg 3-0 at Camp Nou to advance 7-0 on aggregate.

The Bundesliga club, which will take on Borussia Dortmund in the final at Wembley on May 25, was in the driver's seat thanks to a 4-0 victory in the first leg at the Allianz Arena last week.

After a scoreless first half in the return match, Bayern sealed its place in the final with three goals in 28 minutes to oust the Spanish side in humiliating fashion.

Arjen Robben got Bayern off the mark just three minutes after the halftime interval, finding space on the right side of the penalty area before cutting the ball onto his favorite left foot and curling a shot past Victor Valdes at the far post.

The Bavarians received a bit a fortune in the 72nd minute when Gerard Pique turned a cross from Franck Ribery into his own net, and they managed to extend the lead even further four minutes later when Thomas Muller met another cross from Ribery and nodded the delivery into the back of the net.

The resounding victory sets up just the fourth Champions League final between two clubs of the same nation - Spain's Real Madrid defeated Valencia 3-0 in the 2000 final, Italy's AC Milan edged Juventus on penalties in the 2003 edition and England's Manchester United emerged from penalties victorious against Chelsea in 2008.
