Nautico downs Santos to end losing streak

Sao Paulo, Brazil (Sports Network) - Patrick, Kim and Kieza scored after half, and Nautico downed Santos, 3-0, on Sunday to end a three-game losing streak in the Brasileiro.

Patrick broke a scoreless drought in the 58th, then Kim scored in the 81st and Kieza in the 90th as Nautico sealed its fifth win of the season to move within one point of a place in the top half of the standings.

Santos lost for the third time in its last four and has just 13 points from 14 games this season.

Also Sunday, Vasco da Gama moved its unbeaten streak to eight games with a 0-0 tie against Corinthians, Marcinho scored the match-winner as Ponte Preta edged Cruzeiro, 2-1, Ademilson lifted Sao Paulo over Sport Recife, 1-0, Marcos Jr. and Fred scored as Fluminense won 2-0 at Coritiba, and Gremio defeated 10-man Bahia, 3-1.

On Saturday, Clarence Seedorf scored as Botafogo rallied in the second half of a 2-1 win over Goianiense, Internacional downed Palmeiras, 1-0, and Portuguesa downed Figueirense, 2-0.
