London, England (Sports Network) - Guo Wenjun won her second straight Olympic title in 10-meter air pistol on Sunday, giving China the first two women's shooting golds of the London Games.
France's Celine Goberville led the competition eight shots into the final round, but Guo scored 10.4 and 10.8, respectively, on her final two attempts to post a total score of 488.1. China's Yi Siling won gold in the women's 10m air rifle event on Saturday.
"This is the heaviest," said Guo of her medal. "I am so excited. It means I am the best."
Goberville won the silver after defeating Olena Kostevych of Ukraine in a shoot-off. The two women were tied for second with 486.6 points, but Goberville scored a 10.6 in the shoot-off compared to Kostevych's score of 9.7.
It was the first Olympic medal for Goberville and second for Kostevych, who won gold in this event eight years ago in Athens.
