Description: Vancouver left wing Daniel Sedin notched a pair of goals Sunday against the Red Wings.
Insight: The outcome wasn't pretty (the Canucks lost, 8-3) but fantasy owners have to like what they're seeing from Sedin. He's registered four goals and five assists over his last six games, which gives him 19 points for the season.

Description: Daniel Sedin is expected to miss Game 4 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals against Los Angeles due to his ongoing concussion symptoms.
Insight: A Vancouver Canuck employee tweeted that he would miss the entire series, but this hasn't been confirmed. Sedin is a huge part of the Vancouver offense with 30 goals and 37 assist in 72 games and the top-seeded Canucks are in a 0-3 hole without him.

Description: Daniel Sedin will miss Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals Friday against Los Angeles due to his ongoing concussion symptoms.
Insight: Sedin was on the ice Friday morning for a light skate without coaches or training staff. His status for the remainder of the series is unknown, but fantasy owners would certainly like to see his 30 goals and 37 assists back in uniform as soon as possible.

3/23/2012 10:24:00 PM
Description: Daniel Sedin will miss the next two weeks after suffering a concussion at the hands of Chicago defenseman Duncan Keith.
Insight: Sedin took quite a hit to the head Wednesday. It's a shame because he has had a pretty productive season for the Canucks in 2011-12 (30 goals, 37 assists). There isn't much time left in the season, so don't count on Sedin to rescue your fantasy team down the stretch.

3/19/2012 10:24:00 AM
Description: Daniel Sedin scored two goals on Saturday to end a nine-game goal-scoring drought. He had just two assists during than span.
Insight: Hopefully this is the end of his struggles and he'll return to being one of the league's best scorers. Vancouver hopes so as well, since they went 3-4-2 during Sedin's streak. For the season Sedin has 30 goals and 37 assists for 67 points.

Description: Daniel Sedin took the morning skate on Saturday and says he feels good enough to play against Toronto. Vancouver Canucks

Insight: The hat trick was the fifth of Daniel's career. As expected, Henrik assisted on all three of Daniel's goals. Daniel now has 12 goals and 33 points in 27 games - the goal total is perhaps a little low, but he is on par for his points projection.

Description: Daniel Sedin recorded three assists in the Canucks' 4-2 win over San Jose in Game 4 on Sunday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: Two of Daniel's assists were on the power play. Although he didn't score a goal in this game, Daniel's eight goals ties him for second in this year's playoffs. He and his brother Henrik are having a much easier time against the Sharks than they did in the first two rounds against Chicago and Nashville.

Daniel may have struggled during much of the playoffs, but the funny thing is that his eight goals ties him for the playoff lead. He also leads the playoffs with five power-play goals.

4/16/2011 12:41:00 AM
Description: Daniel Sedin scored two goals and added an assist with a +2 in the Canucks' 4-3 win over Chicago in Game 2 on Friday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: Both Daniel and brother Henrik (one assist in this game) were held scoreless in Game 1, but it would only be a matter of time before they found the scoresheet. Daniel was one of the top picks in many fantasy drafts this season, and he clearly produced that way in Game 2. His Canucks now take a 2-0 lead and a huge psychological advantage in the series to Chicago for Game 3 on Sunday.

Description: Daniel Sedin has won the Art Ross Trophy as the NHL's leading scorer with a career-high 104 points (41g-63a). NHL.com
Insight: Daniel's brother Henrik won the scoring title last season, so the award has been won by brothers over back-to-back seasons, a feat that we will likely never see again. He also led the NHL with 18 power-play goals and 42 power-play points.

4/1/2011 12:41:00 AM
Description: Daniel Sedin scored a goal and added an assist in the Canucks' 3-1 win over Los Angeles on Thursday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: Daniel has now reached 100 points for the first time in his career, and he is the first player in the NHL to reach that mark this season. Daniel could very well add a Hart Trophy this season, much like his brother Henrik last season.

3/24/2011 12:03:00 AM
Description: Daniel Sedin scored both Canucks' goals in their 2-1 win over Detroit on Wednesday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: As expected, brother Henrik assisted on both goals. Sedin flew into Detroit after the Canucks, as his wife had just given birth to their third child on Monday. Daniel now has 40 goals, which ties him with Corey Perry for second in the NHL. This season is the first season in his ten-year career that Sedin has scored 40 goals.
