Description: Leafs GM Brian Burke has denied a report that the Leafs are interested in signing free agent goalie Marty Turco. Sportsnet
Insight: Starting goalie James Reimer is still sidelined with a concussion, so the Leafs may not feel confident with the duo of Jonas Gustavsson and Ben Scrivens. Turco is a backup goalie at best at this stage of his career, so there shouldn't be any rush to add him in fantasy leagues.

4/6/2011 1:50:00 PM
Description: Blackhawks backup goalie Marty Turco reportedly made a $5 bet with a Montreal Canadiens fan during Tuesday's game in Montreal. ESPN Chicago
Insight: Turco confirmed that he made the bet, which seemed more like a friendly wager rather than a high-stakes Las Vegas transaction. Although the intention didn't appear to be anything that would affect the outcome of the game (since Turco was the backup goalie), the league may warn practical joker Turco about such activity in the future.

Description: Marty Turco allowed three goals on 18 shots in the Blackhawks' 3-0 loss to Vancouver on Friday. TSN
Insight: In a game where the Blackhawks carried the majority of the play, Turco was unable to come through when needed. Corey Crawford had started the previous three games, and the smart thinking is that he will be back in net on Sunday against Calgary.

11/20/2010 1:58:00 AM
Description: Marty Turco allowed seven goals on 36 shots in the Blackhawks' 7-2 loss to Calgary on Friday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: Turco allowed three of the goals during the final four minutes of the game, when things were finally out of reach for the Hawks. Two nights after an 18-save shutout in Edmonton, Turco wasn't so lucky against Alberta's other team. As the Hawks continue their journey through Western Canada, coach Joel Quenneville might have to turn to rookie Corey Crawford for Saturday's game against fellow Western Conference contender Vancouver.

11/18/2010 2:33:00 AM
Description: Marty Turco stopped all 18 shots he faced in the Blackhawks' 5-0 win over Edmonton on Wednesday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: The shutout was the first of the season and the first as a Blackhawk for Turco. He didn't have to do much work against an Oilers team that has been dreadful lately, but his owners will take the goose egg anyway.

11/11/2010 2:01:00 AM
Description: Turco allowed two goals just 25 seconds apart in the second period of Wednesday night's game, but that was enough to hand him and his Blackhawks a loss.
Insight: Turco's rates aren't terrific, but he has totaled the league's fourth most saves while facing the third most shots. (RapidDraft.com)

11/7/2010 8:05:00 AM
Description: Turco stole a victory despite allowing four goals on 37 shots against Edmonton Saturday night.
Insight: It was the third straight game in which Turco allowed at least three goals and the fourth such game in his past five outings. (RapidDraft.com)

11/4/2010 11:04:00 AM
Description: Turco made 19 saves in a 5-3 loss to the Devils on Wednesday night.
Insight: Turco lost for the second straight start as he is now 6-4-1 with a 2.70 GAA on the year. (RapidDraft.com)

11/2/2010 8:03:00 AM
Description: Turco made 20 saves in a losing effort as Chicago lost to the Rangers 3-2 on Monday night.
Insight: Turco took the loss to fall to 6-3-1 with a 2.67 GAA on the year. (RapidDraft.com)

10/27/2010 11:37:00 PM
Description: Marty Turco made 33 saves in the Blackhawks' 3-1 win over Los Angeles on Wednesday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: Turco has won five of his last six starts for the Hawks. After a sluggish start, he appears firmly entrenched as the Hawks' starting goalie.

10/21/2010 8:05:00 AM
Description: Turco made 36 saves in a 2-1 shootout win over the Canucks on Wednesday.
Insight: Turco has won four straight starts as he is now 4-1-1 with a 2.42 GAA. (RapidDraft.com)

10/21/2010 12:51:00 AM
Description: Marty Turco stopped 36 of 37 shots he faced in the Blackhawks' 2-1 shootout win over Vancouver on Wednesday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: Turco has now won four starts in a row. After a rough start which saw him yield two consecutive starts to Corey Crawford, Turco has settled in quite nicely with his new team. He should be in line for plenty of wins this season.

10/19/2010 9:00:00 AM
Description: Turco made 32 saves in a 3-2 OT win over the Blues on Monday night.
Insight: Turco won his third straight start as he is now 3-1-1 with a 2.74 GAA on the year. (RapidDraft.com)

10/15/2010 10:46:00 AM
Description: Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville has stated that Marty Turco is still his number one goalie. ESPN Chicago
Insight: Quenneville's announcement comes off the heels of Corey Crawford starting two consecutive games for the Hawks: Monday's win against Buffalo, and Wednesday's loss to Nashville. Turco will start Friday against Columbus, while Crawford could start Saturday against Buffalo. Turco is 0-1-1 with a 3.42 GAA this season.

10/8/2010 9:00:00 AM
Description: Turco made 37 saves on 41 shots in Chicago's 4-3 OT loss to the Avalanche on Thursday.
Insight: Turco played well but could not stop a tough shot from Paul Stastny in OT. (RapidDraft.com)

10/8/2010 1:10:00 AM
Description: Marty Turco stopped 37 of 41 shots he faced in the Blackhawks' 4-3 overtime loss to Colorado on opening night on Thursday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: Turco did not endear himself to Hawks fans by allowing a squibbler goal in overtime to Paul Stastny. Expectations will be huge in Chi-Town as the Hawks attempt to defend their Stanley Cup. Turco has struggled somewhat in recent seasons, so it will be interesting to see if he is up to the challenge.

8/2/2010 11:26:00 AM
Description: The Chicago Blackhawks have signed Marty Turco to a one-year contract worth between $1 million and $1.5 million. Chicago Tribune
Insight: After reportedly passing on a $3 million offer from Philadelphia last summer, Turco takes an offer from the Blackhawks worth significantly less. The cap-strapped Hawks will save at least $1 million by signing Turco instead of Niemi. Although Turco's numbers have suffered the past few seasons, he could very well show improvement this season now that he is playing for the defending Cup champs.
