Buffalo Sabres (4-5-0) at Tampa Bay Lightning (5-3-0), 7:30 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Buffalo Sabres will resume a five-game road trip tonight against the Tampa Bay Lightning at St. Pete Times Forum.

Buffalo is 1-2 on the trek and ended a three-game losing streak with Friday's 4-2 win over the Florida Panthers at BankAtlantic Center. Drew Stafford scored with 8:48 left in the contest to lift the Sabres to victory.

Jochen Hecht and Ales Kotalik also lit the lamp for the Sabres, who won their first road contest of the season. Netminder Ryan Miller made 33 stops for his third victory of the season.

The Sabres will also visit Boston on the road trip.

Meanwhile, the Lightning have won two of their last three games. In Thursday's 5-2 win over the visiting Philadelphia Flyers, Brad Richards notched two goals and an assist to lead the way.

Jan Hlavac contributed three assists, while goaltender Johan Holmqvist had 21 saves for the Lightning, who won for the second time in their last five games. Tampa Bay matched a franchise record with its fifth straight home victory to open a season.

Buffalo went 3-1 against Tampa Bay last season and has won seven of eight and eight of the last 10 meetings.

The Sabres have won four in a row at St. Pete Times Forum.

Lightning star Vincent Lecavalier owns a seven-game point streak against Buffalo with six goals and two assists in those contests.
