San Jose Sharks (35-19-1) at St. Louis Blues (22-25-9), 8 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The San Jose Sharks continue their season-long eight-game road trip tonight, when they battle the St. Louis Blues at the Scottrade Center.

San Jose comes in with plenty of rest as the club hasn't been in action since Wednesday, when it downed Anaheim, 3-2, to kick off the trip. Milan Michalek scored the game-winner late in the third period to lead the San Jose Sharks in the back end of an important home-and-home series at the Honda Center.

Jonathan Cheechoo had two goals and Ryane Clowe added three assists for the Sharks, who have won two of their last three and trail the Ducks by three points for the lead in the Pacific Division. The win upped San Jose's road record to 17-8-0.

Joe Thornton had two assists in the win and both he and Clowe have helpers in five straight games. Thornton has eight assists over his streak, while Clowe has seven.

St. Louis comes into tonight's game as losers in five of its last seven tilts. The club's most recent setback came on Saturday when the Blues fell to the Philadelphia Flyers, 4-3.

Keith Tkachuk posted a goal and an assist and Curtis Sanford ended with 22 saves for the Blues, who also got goals from Lee Stempniak and David Backes.

It will most likely be Sanford in net again tonight as netminder Manny Legace is questionable because of a stiff neck and dizziness. He was hurt during a collision in front of his net on Thursday. Forward Martin Rucinsky (groin) is also questionable.

The Blues are 12-14-3 at home this season and will travel to Columbus for a game on Wednesday.

This will be the fourth and final meeting between the two teams this year. The Sharks took the first two before the Blues posted a 1-0 win on January 20 in San Jose. Legace made 31 saves for his third shutout of the season while Bill Guerin scored the lone goal of the game.

The Blues most recent win snapped a four-game overall losing streak. San Jose, though, has still won seven of the last nine meetings and four straight in St. Louis.
