Nashville Predators (22-7-3) at Columbus Blue Jackets (9-24-1), 7 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Nashville Predators seek their fifth consecutive win
tonight when they visit the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena.
On Wednesday, Paul Kariya scored a pair of goals and added an assist as the
Predators rolled past the Chicago Blackhawks, 6-1, at United Center.
Ryan Suter, Steve Sullivan and Yanic Perreault each added a goal and an assist
for the Predators. Vernon Fiddler also scored and Jordin Tootoo contributed a
pair of assists in the win.
Chris Mason stopped 26-of-27 shots faced in the win as Nashville snapped a
two-game road losing streak.
Sullivan has tallied five times during a five-game goal-scoring streak.
Nashville, which won eight straight games to begin this season, is 6-4-3 on
the road. The Preds will visit Calgary on Tuesday.
Columbus, meanwhile, has lost five straight games. On Wednesday the Jackets
suffered a 5-3 loss to visiting Dallas. The Stars tallied three times early in
the third period to spark the victory.
Rick Nash scored for the Blue Jackets, giving him three goals in as many games
since returning from a knee injury that had sidelined him since early
Pascal Leclaire allowed five goals on 35 shots for Columbus, which is 6-10-0
on home ice.
The Jackets will host Chicago on Monday.
Nashville is 2-1 against Columbus this season, and has won eight of the last
