Atlanta Thrashers (10-14-3) at Phoenix Coyotes (14-12-2), 9 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Atlanta Thrashers will try to avoid their second four-
game losing streak of the season, as they visit the Phoenix Coyotes tonight at
The Thrashers also dropped a season-high four in a row from October 12-20.
The latest setback came Saturday in Anaheim. Andy McDonald's power-play goal
with 4:29 left to play lifted the Ducks to the 2-1 victory.
Brad Larsen had the lone tally for the Thrashers, while Michael Garnett
finished with 26 saves in defeat.
Tonight marks the middle test of a three-game road trip for Atlanta. The
Thrashers are 5-7-2 as the visiting team this season.
Meanwhile, the Coyotes have won three of their last four games, including an
8-4 victory over Carolina on Saturday night. Ladislav Nagy had a hat trick and
two assists and Mike Johnson tallied two goals and an assist to lead Phoenix
to the lopsided win at Glendale Arena.
Mike Comrie had a goal and two assists and Geoff Sanderson and Zbynek Michalek
notched a goal each for Phoenix.
The eight goals tied the most for the franchise in a game since it moved from
Winnipeg to Phoenix after the 1995-96 season.
Curtis Joseph made 25 saves for the Coyotes.
Phoenix, which is 8-5-1 at home this year, end a brief two-game stand tonight.
This is the first and only meeting of the season between the Thrashers and
Coyotes. Phoenix has just one loss in nine all-time meetings (7-1-1) with
