Phoenix Coyotes (9-10-2) at San Jose Sharks (8-8-2), 10:30 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The San Jose Sharks try to halt a four-game losing streak tonight when they host the Phoenix Coyotes at HP Pavilion.

The Sharks dropped a 3-1 decision in Vancouver on Wednesday. Ed Jovanovski scored the go-ahead power play goal with 9:45 left and Dan Cloutier made 25 saves.

Marcel Goc scored San Jose's only goal and Evgeni Nabokov stopped 21-of-24 shots for the Sharks.

Special teams burned the Sharks, who finished 0-for-8 on the power play. In addition, they allowed two power-play goals and a shorthanded marker en route to the loss.

Tonight's game caps a three-game homestand for San Jose, which is 4-2-1 at the Shark Tank.

The Coyotes played Wednesday night at Glendale Arena and were handed a 3-1 setback by the Colorado Avalanche. Marek Svatos netted a pair of goals and Rob Blake tallied his 600th career NHL point with a goal to lead the Avs.

Mike Johnson scored the Coyotes' only goal and Curtis Joseph stopped 30-of-33 shots for Phoenix, which lost for the second time in its last three games.

The Coyotes are just 4-6-1 on the road this season.

San Jose has won two straight and four of the last five meetings with the Coyotes.

The road team is 4-1-2 in the last seven clashes.
