New York Islanders (24-27-4) at New Jersey Devils (30-21-6), 1 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The New Jersey Devils will host the New York Islanders on Saturday before breaking for the Olympics in Torino, Italy.

The Devils are third in the Atlantic Division with 66 points and fresh off Thursday's overtime win versus the Boston Bruins.

Brian Gionta scored his second goal of the game and team-leading 33rd of the season 2:10 into OT to give New Jersey a 3-2 victory at the TD Banknorth Garden.

Patrik Elias also scored and Martin Brodeur stopped 37 shots for the Devils, who have won two straight and halted a three-game road losing streak.

Brodeur has been solid over his last five outings, claiming a 4-1 record with a 2.39 goals against average, a .920 save percentage and one shutout.

The Devils have beaten Boston three times this season and all by one goal. Also, eight of New Jersey's 30 victories to date have come after regulation (2-4 in OT, 6-2 in SO).

Meanwhile, the Islanders have lost two straight and three of their last four games, including Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers. Mike Richards registered his first career hat trick to lead the Flyers.

Trent Hunter and Miroslav Satan scored for the Islanders and Garth Snow stopped 22 shots in a losing cause.

The Islanders are ahead of last-place Pittsburgh in the Atlantic Division with 52 points.

New Jersey and New York have split four meetings this season.
