Wednesday, March 15th (All times eastern)

Columbus Blue Jackets (26-36-3) at Chicago Blackhawks (20-35-9), 8:30 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Two teams eyeing next season meet up tonight when the Chicago Blackhawks welcome the Columbus Blue Jackets to the United Center.

Chicago has lost its last three games, including a home-and-home sweep at the hands of Detroit. On Sunday, Pavel Datysuk and Mathieu Schneider each had a goal and two assists as the Red Wings completed the sweep with a 5-3 victory in the Windy City.

Mark Cullen and Mikael Holmqvist each had a goal and a helper for the Blackhawks, who dropped a 6-4 decision to Detroit the previous day.

Chicago is last in the Western Conference with 49 points.

The Blackhawks will host Anaheim on Friday.

Columbus, meanwhile, hopes to rebound after having a two-game winning streak ended in Monday's 3-2 overtime loss in St. Louis. Christian Backman scored the game-winning goal in OT to lift the Blues.

Rick Nash and Jason Chimera tallied a goal apiece and Pascal Leclaire made 28 stops for the Blue Jackets.

The Jackets will open a four-game homestand on Friday against Vancouver.

Columbus is 4-1 against Chicago this season, and has won in its last three trips to Chicago.
