Tampa Bay Lightning (34-27-4) at Ottawa Senators (43-15-5), 7:30 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Lightning hope to patch together a winning
streak tonight when they visit the Ottawa Senators at Scotiabank Place.
On Monday, Vincent Lecavalier and Martin St. Louis each lit the lamp to lift
Tampa Bay over the Montreal Canadiens, 2-1, at the Bell Centre.
Vaclav Prospal and Fredrik Modin picked up the primary assists while Sean
Burke turned away 31 shots in net for the Lightning, who entered the game
having lost two straight and five of their last six games.
The Lightning moved back into seventh place in the Eastern Conference -- one
ahead of eighth-place Montreal in the playoff race.
The Bolts will host Philadelphia on Friday.
Ottawa, meanwhile, has won two straight and seven of its last eight games. On
Sunday, Dany Heatley had one goal and two assists, as the Senators defeated
the Washington Capitals, 5-2, at the Verizon Center.
Jason Spezza also tallied a goal and two assists, while Wade Redden scored one
goal and assisted on one for the Senators.
Ray Emery was solid in goal by turning aside 25 shots for Ottawa, which has
defeated Washington in the last four matchups.
Ottawa is now two points ahead of second-place Buffalo in the Northeast
The Sens will visit Boston on Thursday.
Ottawa is 3-0 against Tampa Bay this season and has won seven consecutive
meetings overall. The Lightning's last win in the series was on January 20,
