Sunday, March 21st (All times eastern)

Phoenix Coyotes (20-31-17-6) at Chicago Blackhawks (20-38-9-6), 3 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Phoenix Coyotes try to end a 14-game winless slide tonight when they visit the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center.

On Thursday the Coyotes did manage a tie to end a five-game losing streak (0-4-0-1), as Brian Boucher made a career-high 46 saves, including 25 in the third period and overtime to help the team to a 1-1 deadlock with Detroit at Glendale Arena.

Erik Westrum scored for the Coyotes, who fell to 0-8-3-3 during their current slide. Phoenix again failed to pick up its first victory under interim head coach Rick Bowness (0-7-2-3).

Phoenix's 14-game winless streak is the third-longest in franchise history. When the team was in Winnipeg, it went 19 games without a win in 1994-95 and went winless in 30 consecutive contests during the 1980-81 season.

The Coyotes, 0-7-0-1 in its last eight road tilts, will visit Minnesota on Monday.

Chicago, meanwhile, is coming off a Friday's win over visiting Vancouver. Tyler Arnason scored 1:44 into overtime to post his second career hat trick and give the Hawks a 4-3 decision at the United Center.

Arnason has seven goals and seven assists in nine games this month, and leads the team with 50 points overall (20g, 30a).

Jim Vandermeer also scored for the Blackhawks, who snapped a seven-game home winless streak (0-5-1-1) and a two-game skid overall.

Michael Leighton made 32 saves for Chicago, which won for just the second time in its last 11 (2-6-2-1) despite squandering a 3-1 lead.

The Blackhawks will visit Colorado on Tuesday.

Chicago and Phoenix have skated to a pair of 2-2 ties this season, and the road team is 5-1-3 in the last nine meetings.
