Sabres Friday night. Sean Hill tallied the sole goal for the Hurricanes in the
losing effort. All four goals in the game were tallied in the third period.

night at the MCI Center. Peter Bondra scored the winning goal with 54 seconds
remaining to lift the Capitals to victory.
Michael Ryder scored the game-tying goal for Montreal midway through the third
period, but the Canadiens had their two-game winning streak against the Caps
Mathieu Garon stopped 19 shots for the Canadiens, who are 2-2-1 in their last
five games overall.
Tonight's tilt is the second test of a three-game road trip for Montreal,
which is 7-8-1-1 on the road this season.
These teams have played twice this season in a home-and-home series earlier
this month. They skated to a 1-1 tie on December 5 before the Habs pulled out
a 3-1 victory the following night.
Montreal is 3-0-1 in the last four meetings and is also unbeaten in its
previous eight trips to Raleigh (4-0-4).
