Ottawa Senators (11-12-1) at Carolina Hurricanes (13-9-3), 7 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Ottawa Senators try to get back on track tonight when they visit the Carolina Hurricanes at the RBC Center.
The Senators had a four-game winning streak ended in Sunday's 3-1 loss in Tampa. Filip Kuba and Brad Richards scored goals 36 seconds apart in the second period and Johan Holmqvist stopped 22-of-23 shots to lift the Lightning.
Jason Spezza scored the lone goal for Ottawa and netminder Ray Emery stopped 15-of-18 shots in the loss. Emery had been in net for all four games of the Sens' winning streak, but will likely sit on the bench in favor of a struggling Martin Gerber.
Gerber, who will face his old club tonight, is 3-8-1 with a 3.45 goals-against average so far after signing a free agent deal with the Senators.
Spezza has found the net in two straight games after a four-game drought.
The Senators will host Florida on Thursday.
Carolina, meanwhile, ended a two-game slide last Friday. John Grahame stopped 25 shots and five different players scored, as the Hurricanes topped Boston, 5-1.
Eric Staal, Justin Williams, Erik Cole, Eric Belanger and Andrew Ladd had the goals for Carolina, which defeated the Bruins for the sixth time in the last nine meetings.
The Hurricanes, with 29 points, are second in the Southeast Division -- three behind first-place Atlanta.
Carolina begins a three-game homestand tonight and will host Montreal on Thursday.
The Canes edged the Sens, 3-2, on November 4 in Ottawa and have won four of the last six meetings.
