(Sports Network) - The Minnesota Wild try to end their first losing streak of the season tonight when they visit the Los Angeles Kings at Staples Center.

Minnesota won 10 of its first 12 games, but has since fallen to Nashville and San Jose. On Tuesday the Wild opened a five-game road trip with a 3-1 loss to the Sharks. Evgeni Nabokov made 22 saves and Patrick Marleau had a goal and an assist to lift San Jose.

The Wild, who still lead the Northwest Division, will resume their trip Sunday in Anaheim.

Los Angeles, meanwhile, has lost three of its last four games and is 2-6-2 over its last 10. On Thursday the Kings dropped a 7-3 tilt to visiting San Jose, as Marleau recorded his second career hat trick to lift the Sharks.

Sean Avery, Brian Willsie and Alexander Frolov scored for Los Angeles, which began a five-game homestand.

Kings goaltender Mathieu Garon allowed seven goals on 26 shots in the loss.

The Kings will continue their home stretch Monday against San Jose.

The Wild are already 2-0 against the Kings this year, having won meetings in LA and St. Paul.
