(Sports Network) - The Columbus Blue Jackets hope to end a four-game losing streak tonight when they welcome the Dallas Stars to Nationwide Arena.
The Jackets' lull was extended on Tuesday night, as they dropped a 4-3 shootout decision in Detroit. Pavel Datsyuk and Jason Williams each scored in the shootout to lift the Red Wings.
Nikolai Zherdev scored a goal and added an assist for the Blue Jackets, whose skid comes on the heels of a solid 4-2 stretch.
Rick Nash also tallied for the Blue Jackets, and has two goals in as many games since returning from a knee injury that had sidelined him since early November.
Columbus, which is 6-9-0 at home, begins a four-game homestand tonight and will welcome Nashville to town on Friday.
Dallas, meanwhile, is 2-2 in its last four on the heels of a five-game winning streak. On Monday the Stars suffered a 2-1 loss in Minnesota. Todd White and Marian Gaborik each scored goals in the third period to lift the Wild.
Jere Lehtinen netted his 19th goal of the year for the Stars, while Marty Turco made 20 saves in defeat.
Mike Modano extended his point streak to nine games with an assist for Dallas, and has three goals and nine helpers during the run. Lehtinen, meanwhile, has a six-game run intact (7g, 2a).
The Stars, who are 11-4-0 on the road, complete a six-game trip tonight. They will host Phoenix on Friday.
Dallas defeated Columbus, 6-3, on November 18 and has won eight consecutive meetings.
