NHL Preview from The Sports Network

Saturday, April 15th (All times eastern)

Minnesota Wild (38-36-7) at Dallas Stars (52-22-5), 2 p.m.

(Sports Network) - With the second seed in the Western Conference sewn up, the Dallas Stars tune-up for the playoffs today when they welcome the Minnesota Wild to the AmericanAirlines Center.

The Stars have won three of their last four games down the final stretch. On Tuesday, Jason Arnott scored his 31st goal of the season as Dallas withstood a late Columbus rally to win 3-2 at home.

Janne Niinimaa and Jaroslav Svoboda also scored for the Stars, who won their franchise-record 52nd game of the year. Marty Turco only had to make 15 saves for the win.

Stars' captain Mike Modano recorded an assist in his first game back since missing two games due to a knee injury.

The Stars will visit Detroit on Monday, before heading to Columbus the next night for their regular season finale.

Minnesota, meanwhile, concludes its fifth season today. The Wild had a two- game winning streak ended in Thursday's 4-2 tilt in Nashville, as Mike Sillinger scored two goals to lift the Predators.

Brian Rolston and Wes Walz scored a goal apiece and Josh Harding stopped 26 shots for Minnesota.

The Wild have only advanced to the playoffs once in their history.

Dallas is 2-1 against Minnesota this season.
