St. Louis Blues (20-39-13) at Nashville Predators (42-23-8), 8 p.m.
(Sports Network) - The Nashville Predators will try to get back to their winning ways tonight, as they welcome the lowly St. Louis Blues to Gaylord Entertainment Center.
The Predators, who are fourth in the Western Conference with 92 points, have dropped four in a row on the heels of a five-game winning streak.
Nashville is coming off Thursday's home loss to the Detroit Red Wings. Brendan Shanahan scored the deciding goal and added an assist to lead the Western Conference leaders to the 4-2 triumph.
Mike Sillinger and Scott Hartnell each had a goal while Tomas Vokoun made 30 saves for the Predators.
Tonight is the middle portion of a three-game homestand for the Preds, who are an impressive 27-7-1 as the host club this year.
The Blues, meanwhile, are in the midst of a nine-game losing streak. The skid is tied for the team's second-longest of the season. The Blues dropped 11 in a row from October 20-November 12 and nine straight from January 4-20.
The team's latest setback came Friday against visiting Columbus. Rick Nash scored two goals to give the Blue Jackets the 4-2 victory at the Savvis Center.
Keith Tkachuk and Jamal Mayers tallied goals for the Blues, while Patrick Lalime allowed four goals on 20 shots.
Nashville has won all five meetings with the Blues this season and is 6-1-1 ( 1 loss, 1 tie) in the last eight encounters. St. Louis has also dropped three straight and five of its last six in the Music City.
