(Sports Network) - The Nashville Predators try to get back on the winning track tonight, as they travel to Edmonton to battle the Oilers at Rexall Place.
The Predators had their hot streak ended on Thursday evening, as they were shut out by the Calgary Flames at the Saddledome. Shean Donovan and Matthew Lombardi each scored two goals and Roman Turek recorded his 25th career shutout to help Calgary to a 4-0 win.
Tomas Vokoun allowed four goals on just 17 shots for Nashville, which had a seven-game unbeaten streak snapped (5-1-2).
Vokoun and Predators defenseman Kimmo Timonen were named as reserves to the Western Conference All-Star team. Both players will be making their first trip to the festivities.
Nashville, which is 7-12-2-1 on the road this season, plays the second test of a four-game road trip tonight.
Edmonton, meanwhile, was handed a 3-2 setback by the Tampa Bay Lightning at Rexall Place on Thursday. John Grahame stopped 26 shots as Tampa Bay won in Edmonton for the first time in just over five years.
Pavel Kubina, Vincent Lecavalier and Brad Richards each found the net for Tampa Bay, which hadn't won in Edmonton since December 4, 1998.
Tommy Salo stopped 19 shots for the Oilers, who had a three-game home winning streak halted. Brad Isbister and Radek Dvorak each tallied a goal and an assist in defeat.
Down 1-0 after Isbister's goal just 29 seconds into the game, the Lightning exploded for three unanswered tallies to take a commanding 3-1 lead.
Salo had a home shutout streak end at 125 minutes and 33 seconds, while Dvorak halted his goal-scoring drought at 14 games.
Edmonton, 3-1-1 in its last five tests at Rexall Place, play the finale of a three-game homestand tonight.
The Predators grabbed a 2-1 victory in Music City in the only meeting of the season on January 17.
The road team is 9-2-1 in the last 12 matchups and Nashville has won five of its previous seven trips to Edmonton.
