Phoenix Coyotes (4-6-3-0) at Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (4-7-1-3), 8 p.m.
(Sports Network) - A night after ending a nine-game winless skid, the Phoenix Coyotes try to keep the momentum going when they visit the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim for the back end of a home-and-home at the Pond.
Radoslav Suchy scored at 1:20 of overtime to lift the Coyotes to a 4-3 victory over the Mighty Ducks at America West Arena on Saturday. Ladislav Nagy scored twice and added an assist for the Coyotes, who were 0-6-3 during their skid.
Shane Doan contributed a goal and two assists in the victory, while Sean Burke made 23 saves. Phoenix hadn't won since October 15 at Florida.
After each goaltender, Burke and Anaheim's Jean-Sebastien Giguere, made 10 saves in the third period to force OT, Suchy tallied on the first shot of the extra session. Doan ripped a shot from the top of the slot wide of the net. The puck caromed off the back boards into the left circle for an onrushing Suchy, who chipped it over Giguere for his fourth goal of the season.
Phoenix, 2-3-2 on the road, will host Colorado on Thursday.
The Ducks, meanwhile, watched their losing streak get stretched to four (0-2-0-2). Steve Rucchin scored a pair of power-play goals for Anaheim, which wrapped up a six-game road trip (2-2-0-2). Rob Niedermayer also converted for the Mighty Ducks, while Giguere stopped 31 shots.
The Ducks, who won 10 overtime games during their run through the playoffs last spring, are 1-3 in OT in the early portion of this season.
Anaheim, 1-3-1-1 at the Pond, kick off a three-game homestand tonight and will host Toronto on Wednesday.
The Coyotes have won four straight games in this series, but are just 1-2-1 in their last four trips to Orange County.
