Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - James Neal and Brad Richards both picked up the primary assist on each others' goals, as the Dallas Stars held off the Calgary Flames, 3-1, at American Airlines Center.
Jere Lehtinen also tallied and Marty Turco made 24 saves for the Stars, who are riding a season-high five-game win streak in which they have outscored the opposition by a 20-7 margin.
Michael Cammalleri provided the scoring for the Flames, who lost for the second consecutive night. Miikka Kiprusoff was solid in a losing cause, turning aside 29 shots.
Both teams converted on the power play in the first period.
Calgary bombarded Turco with rubber and Cammalleri eventually pumped in his team-leading 26th goal of the season behind the exhausted netminder for a 1-0 Flames lead at the 6:52 mark.
Lehtinen tied the score for Dallas, altering the path of a Matt Niskanen point shot past the glove of a stunned Kiprusoff with 44 seconds remaining.
Neal's marker with the man advantage made it a 2-1 game at 4:21 of the middle stanza, and Richards lifted a backhander past the sprawled Calgary netminder with 3:16 left in the third period to effectively seal the victory.
Cammalleri also leads the Flames with 13 power-play goals...Turco has compiled a 14-6-1 record with two ties in 24 regular-season starts versus Calgary, which fell to 11-11-1 on the road this season...Dallas improved to 13-6-4 at home...The Stars finished 2-for-5 on the power play, while Calgary was 1- for-3.
