NHL Game Summary - Tampa Bay at New Jersey

Newark, NJ (Sports Network) - Patrik Elias scored the game-winning goal with 58 seconds left in overtime to give the New Jersey Devils a 2-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Zach Parise added a goal and Martin Brodeur got the win after stopping 21-of-22 shots for the Devils, who have won two games in a row.
New Jersey now has 84 points and jumped over idle Pittsburgh by a point for first place in the Atlantic Division and idle Montreal by one for the top spot in the Eastern Conference.
Karri Ramo received the loss after allowing two goals on 33 shots, while Michel Ouellet scored the only goal for the Lightning, who have lost nine of their last 10 games.
With 58 seconds remaining in overtime, Elias was on a 2-on-1 break. He decided to keep the puck himself and fired a wrist shot that went under the armpit of Ramo and trickled into the back of the net.
New Jersey opened the scoring with 7:44 left to play in the first period. While on a 2-on-1, Elias passed a bouncing puck to Parise, who slammed it into the net.
Tampa Bay came back to tie the game while on the power play. Ouellet fired a wrist shot from the left faceoff circle that beat Brodeur for the goal at the 17:30 mark of the second period.
Brodeur saved all seven shots that he faced and Ramo turned away the 14 shots that he saw in the third.
New Jersey won the season series 3-1...New Jersey will start a four-game road trip by traveling to play Toronto on Saturday...Tampa Bay will travel to play Columbus on Sunday.
