Final Score: Nashville 3, Vancouver 0
Vancouver, BC (Sports Network) - Dan Ellis turned away 29 shots as the Nashville Predators blanked the Vancouver Canucks, 3-0, at General Motors Place.
David Legwand, Jason Arnott and Martin Erat all had a goal and an assist for the Predators, who picked up their first road win of the season.
Jean-Pierre Dumont registered a pair of primary assists in a winning effort.
Roberto Luongo finished with just 12 saves for Vancouver, which dropped to 1-6 at home.
Legwand opened up the scoring 6:16 into the opening period, cashing in on a power-play opportunity with a wrister from the slot that put Nashville in front.
Just over two minutes later Erat received a nice outlet pass from Dumont, broke behind the defense and feathered a shot through the five-hole to make it 2-0.
The Canucks had plenty of chances to get on the board thanks to six power-play opportunities, but the Nashville defense was very stingy even while shorthanded.
The Predators capped the scoring in the final seconds, as Arnott took a feed from Legwand along the left side of the net and fired it past Luongo.
Nashville is now 1-5 on the road...Vancouver's Sami Salo was hit in the face with the puck in the third period and left the game. Fellow defenseman Kevin Bieksa left in the second with a cut leg...The Canucks will next hit the road for two straight, beginning in Colorado on Saturday...The Predators have taken six of the last eight encounters with the Canucks.
