NHL Game Summary - Anaheim at Dallas

Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - Teemu Selanne recorded his 19th career hat trick, as the Anaheim Ducks rolled past the Dallas Stars, 5-1, at American Airlines Center.
Andy McDonald finished with four assists and Scott Niedermayer added a goal and an assist for the Ducks, who won for just the second time in the last seven games.
Ilya Bryzgalov got the start between the pipes for Anaheim and made 17 saves in the victory.
Marty Turco allowed five goals on 24 shots for the slumping Stars, who have dropped three straight and five of their last six. Niklas Hagman tallied the lone goal for Dallas in the loss.
With the game tied at 1-1, the Ducks tallied three goals in final three minutes of the second stanza to take control of the contest.
With 2:48 left in the second and Anaheim on the power play, Chris Kunitz hit Selanne with a pass down low and the Finnish star fired a wrister through the pads of Turco for his second goal of the contest.
Less than a minute later and back on the power play, Niedermayer's heavy slap shot from the right boards slipped past Turco to give the Ducks a 3-1 lead.
With only 38 seconds left in the middle session, Joe DiPenta's first goal of the season provided Anaheim with a three-goal lead. Samuel Pahlsson moved the puck to DiPenta at the right point and his slap shot beat a screened Turco.
At 8:08 of the third, Selanne completed the hat trick after backhanding a shot over the outstretched pads of Turco at the left side of the cage.
With 1:55 left in the opening period, the Ducks scored a power-play goal to take a 1-0 edge. Ric Jackman slid the puck to the left circle where Selanne one-timed the feed past Turco.
With 7:24 left in the second stanza, the Stars tied the game at 1-1 on Hagman's ninth goal of the season. From the slot, Mike Ribeiro found Hagman at the left side of the crease and he slipped the puck over the goal line.
Selanne's hat trick was his first since March 29, 2001 when he played for the San Jose Sharks...DiPenta's tally was his first goal in the last 67 games...The Ducks went 3-for-7 on the power play while the Stars did not score in three chances with the man advantage...Anaheim rookie forward Bjorn Melin left the game in the second period after taking a high stick to the mouth and did not return.
