Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - J.P. Dumont scored the game-winner late in the third period to lift Nashville over St. Louis, 3-2, at Gaylord Entertainment Center.
Vernon Fiddler and Jason Arnott also tallied for the Predators, who have won 12 straight games against St. Louis. Alexander Radulov recorded two assists in the victory.
Chris Mason stopped 35 of the 37 shots he faced to earn his 17th win of the season.
Martin Rucinsky and Lee Stempniak posted goals for the Blues, who have dropped two of three.
Nashville has won 12 straight against the Blues and is 4-0 this year against St. Louis. Goaltender Manny Legace made 21 saves in defeat.
With the game knotted at two late in the third frame, Dumont took a pass from Ryan Suter and tipped-in the puck on a power play with 4:12 left to give the Predators their second straight win.
Nashville got on the scoreboard first when Fiddler's wrist shot found the net 2:08 into the opening period. Josef Vasicek and Radulov assisted the goal.
With 1:47 left in the first, Rucinsky tallied with a 20-foot backhander to knot the game 1-1 at intermission.
Arnott's power-play goal at the 11:20 mark in the second put the Predators up 2-1. Arnott took a feed from Steve Sullivan and fired the disk past Legace from 32-feet out.
The Blues, however, tied the contest just 17 seconds later on Stempniak's wrister. Keith Tkachuk and Jamie Rivers notched assists.
Nashville ended 2-for-5 on the power play while St. Louis failed to convert on five chances...The Blues won 60 percent of the face-offs...Attendance was 14,438.
