Jason Arnott netted two goals and Alexander Radulov also scored for Nashville, which has lost two of its last three. Chris Mason made 30 saves in defeat.
"I think they were a little bit more focused than we were," said Nashville's Kimmo Timonen.
Wolski and Arnott exchanged first-period goals to make it 1-1 after the first 20 minutes of play.
The Avs, though, scored three straight goals in the second stanza to gain command.
