Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Daniel Sedin had a pair of goals and an assist to help the Vancouver Canucks to a big 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings at the Staples Center.

Roberto Luongo stopped 32 shots for Vancouver, which has 101 points and moved three ahead of Minnesota for first place in the Northwest Division and third place in the Western Conference. Minnesota fell to Calgary, 4-2, on Thursday.
"When we scored it was a great opportunity for us to create a little distance," said Luongo. "They put a lot of pressure on us and I thought they fought hard. We have to give them credit for that. Unfortunately they got a second goal but we picked it up after that."

Luongo made 12 saves in the middle frame to keep LA off the board.
The Kings made it a one-goal game in the third when Brown made a nice move to get by the defender and from the left circle slid the disc across to Anze Kopitar, who blasted a one-timer from the low right circle to make it a 3-2 game with 13:37 to play.
