NHL Game Summary - Atlanta at Tampa Bay

Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Dan Boyle, Nikita Alexeev and Brad Richards all had a goal and an assist to power the Tampa Bay Lightning past the Atlanta Thrashers, 5-3, at St. Pete Times Forum.
Vincent Lecavalier added a goal for Tampa Bay and has registered at least one point in 11 straight games.
Johan Holmqvist made 27 saves for the Lightning, who have won three straight and four of their last five games overall.
Marian Hossa tallied two goals and an assist for the Thrashers, who have lost two straight after winning four in a row. Hossa extended his point streak to seven games and has 15 goals on the season.
Atlanta goaltender Kari Lehtonen allowed five goals on 36 shots in the loss.
With 2:05 remaining in the opening period, the Lightning scored first to take a 1-0 lead. On the power play, Boyle unleashed a wrister from the point that Ryan Craig deflected over the right shoulder of Lehtonen from in front.
Tampa Bay made it 2-0 almost five minutes into the second stanza after scoring its second power-play goal of the contest. Boyle cranked a heavy slap shot from the left point and the puck hit an Atlanta defender in front before going past Lehtonen.
Richards gave the Lightning a three-goal cushion, scoring with 7:34 left in the middle session. Richards intercepted a pass just inside the Atlanta zone and skated in all alone on Lehtonen. In tight, Richards cut across the goal mouth and slipped the puck through the netminder's legs with a backhand.
Tampa Bay made it 4-0 after Lecavalier finished off an odd-man rush, one- timing a feed from Alexeev past a sliding Lehtonen from the right side of the crease with 4:31 left in the second.
Atlanta finally got on the board and made it 4-1 with just 32 seconds left in the second after Hossa jammed in a loose puck in front with the Thrashers on the power play.
At the 8:56 mark of the final frame, a wide open Hossa pounced on a rebound at the left side of the crease and fired the disc into the net to make it 4-2.
Martin St. Louis had a chance to increase Tampa's lead after being awarded a penalty shot at 10:58 of the third period, but was denied by Lehtonen, who made a glove save.
Alexeev provided the Lightning with a three-goal lead late, scoring with 6:37 left in the contest.
Atlanta managed to make it a two-goal game with 2:44 to play after Steve Rucchin netted his third goal of the season.
St. Louis finished with two assists and has an 11-game point streak...Tampa Bay forward Ruslan Fedotenko took an elbow to the eye late in the first period and was helped off the ice. He returned to action in the second...The Lightning went 3-for-11 on the power play while the Thrashers went 1-for-5 with the man advantage...Slava Kozlov had two assists for Atlanta.
