"We played good enough to win tonight," Ducks forward Teemu Selanne said. "It's tough to lose in a shootout. We just have to put this one behind us and go on to the next one."
After a scoreless overtime, Garon stoned Chris Kunitz before allowing goals to Andy McDonald and Teemu Selanne. He stopped Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf on the Ducks' ensuing shots.
Giguere surrendered goals to Frolov and Robitaille before Mike Cammalleri shot wide and Craig Conroy was stopped by Giguere's blocker.
Getzlaf followed Conroy's attempt with a shot that rung off the post to set up Corvo's game-winning tally. Corvo deked to his backhand before sliding the puck past Giguere's right pad.
