Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - Andy McDonald's power-play goal with 4:29 left to play lifted Anaheim to a 2-1 victory over Atlanta at The Pond.
Joffrey Lupul also had a goal while Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 20 of 21 shots to help the Mighty Ducks secure their fourth consecutive victory.
Brad Larsen had the lone tally for the Thrashers, who have lost three straight games. Michael Garnett finished with 26 saves in defeat.
With Atlanta's Shane Hnidy in the box for holding, McDonald took in a pass from Scott Niedermayer and blasted a shot from the right circle past Garnett to break a 1-1 stalemate. McDonald now has a point in seven straight games.
The Thrashers trailed 1-0 in the third period but drew even when Larsen knocked home a rebound off Ronald Petrovicky's shot with 6:54 remaining.
Lupul opened the scoring 7:55 into the second period when he raced down the right side after Atlanta's Marian Hossa misfired on a breakaway and wristed the puck by Garnett.
Bryzgalov withstood 11 Thrasher shots in the second period and Anaheim killed off a four-minute high-sticking penalty from Tyler Wright during the session to keep its one-goal lead.
Atlanta ended 0-for-4 on the power play.
The Thrashers lost wing Peter Bondra when the veteran strained his groin in the second period and did not return.
Anaheim's Teemu Selanne had a streak of five consecutive games with a goal snapped...Lupul has scored in three straight...Anaheim finished 1-for-4 on the power play...The Ducks improved to 10-5-2 on home ice.
