It took five rounds in the shootout to finish this one with each team scoring once in the first three shooters.
Ovechkin beat Grahame glove side with a backhand to forehand move, but Brad Richards would get by Kolzig's glove side with a backhand to even the shootout up.
Both goaltenders then made saves on the next two sets of shooters until Prospal found the back of net stick-side on Kolzig in round five. Tomas Fleischmann's ensuing shot was wide on Grahame, sealing the win for Tampa Bay.
Down 3-0 early in the second, the Lightning rallied and tied it early in the third.

Pettinger was awarded a penalty shot early in the second and the forward connected with a wrister past Graham's stick for a 2-0 edge 26 seconds into the second.
Just 13 seconds later, Grahame went to play the puck behind the net but the disc took a bad bounce and jumped in front. Matt Bradley fired the puck into what seemed to be an open net, but Grahame made a diving stop with his stick. However, Sutherby was there for the rebound and a 3-0 lead.
