NHL Game Summary - Dallas at Phoenix

Glendale, AZ (Sports Network) - Jussi Jokinen and Bill Guerin scored in the shootout as Dallas downed Phoenix, 3-2, at Glendale Arena.
The Stars' win was their 51st of the season tying the franchise record set in 1998-99, the year they won the franchise's only Stanley Cup championship.
Philippe Boucher and Brenden Morrow scored in regulation for the Stars, who won their second straight. Jason Arnott added a pair of assists while Johan Hedberg made 28 saves.
Shane Doan posted a goal and an assist for the Coyotes, who lost their third straight. Bill Thomas added their other goal and Curtis Joseph stopped 27- of-31 shots.
With Detroit's 4-2 victory over Columbus earlier on Saturday, the Stars remain nine points behind the Red Wings for the top seed in the Western Conference.
In the shootout, Jokinen scored on the second shot with a wrister stick side just above Joseph's right shoulder, and Guerin scored a high wrister glove side to seal the win.
Doan scored a tip-in on the power play with just under a minute left in the second period to put Phoenix ahead, 1-0.
Thomas notched his first NHL goal on a wrister from the right circle glove side just in between Hedberg's pad and the right post at the 8:47 mark of the third period to put Phoenix up 2-0.
Boucher put Dallas on the board with a power-play slap shot lifted from the point off a pass from Sergei Zubov at the 10:51 mark.
Morrow took a pass from Arnott and lifted a one-timer glove side, just above Joseph's left shoulder to tie the game at 2 at the 14:22 mark of the third, and ultimately sent the game into overtime in which neither team scored.
Dallas is 5-3 against Phoenix this season...Geoff Sanderson played in his 1,000th NHL game...Phoenix left winger Tyson Nash left the game with a thigh contusion at the 11:08 mark of the first period...The Stars are 11-2 in shootouts, while Phoenix is 4-3 in shootouts...Dallas will visit San Jose on Sunday, while Phoenix will host San Jose on Monday.
