NHL Game Summary - Phoenix at Nashville

Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Tomas Vokoun stopped all 24 shots he faced, as the Nashville Predators defeated the Phoenix Coyotes, 2-0, at the Gaylord Entertainment Center.
It was the second straight shutout for Vokoun, who stopped 31 shots in a 5-0 victory over Vancouver on Tuesday.
Darcy Hordichuk and Adam Hall each scored for the Predators, who set a new franchise record with their 39th win of the season.
Curtis Joseph stopped 21 of 23 shots for the Coyotes, who lost for the fourth time in their last five games.
Midway through the first period, Mike Sillinger fed Hordichuk at the bottom of the left circle. Hordichuk then beat Joseph glove side with 9:10 left in the period to give Nashville the advantage.
The Predators established a two-goal cushion late in the second period on the power play. Scott Hartnell dished the puck to Hall in front of the net and Hall fired top shelf with just 1:30 left in the period.
Phoenix pulled Joseph while on the man-advantage halfway through the third period, but was unable to get anything past Vokoun.
The Predators were 1-for-4 on the power play, while the Coyotes squandered seven chances.
Nashville improved to 25-6-1 at home. The Predators will play Calgary on Saturday...Phoenix fell to 14-17-1 on the road this season. The Coyotes will travel to Chicago on Sunday...Nashville has won both meetings with Phoenix this season and has five wins and a tie in the last six matchups.
