Final Score: Detroit 2, Phoenix 0

Glendale, AZ (Sports Network) - Manny Legace made 23 saves to record his first shutout of the season and lift the Detroit Red Wings over the Phoenix Coyotes, 2-0, at Glendale Arena.

Curtis Joseph made 18 saves for the Coyotes, who have dropped three in a row (0-2-1) and fell for the fifth time in six contests this season. It was also the first time Phoenix was shutout this year.

"I am very proud of what I have accomplished in my career, but at 41 I felt that it was time to move on," Hull said during a pregame press conference.

After a scoreless first period, Zetteberg broke the board just 2:11 into the second with Detroit on the power play. From the point, Jason Woolley sent a pass to Zetteberg, who was camped out to the left of the net. From there, Zetteberg carried the puck across the crease, drawing Joseph out of position, and all he had to do was sweep a backhand around the netminder for the 1-0 lead.

Williams also had an assist on the play.

In the third, Datsyuk scored on a goal that was reminiscent of Hull in his prime. Nicklas Lidstrom sent a pass from the left point across ice to the right face off circle, where Datsyuk one-timed a slap shot past Joseph at the 14:10 mark.
