Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Michael Leighton made nine saves in overtime, including one on a 4-on-0 breakaway, to help Chicago salvage a 2-2 tie with Phoenix at the United Center.
Leighton finished with 39 saves for the Blackhawks, who have just two victories in their last 12 games. (2-6-3-1). Eric Daze and Tyler Arnason both finished with a goal and an assist.
"I like [facing] a lot of shots," Leighton said. "I stay in the game and stay focused. It's not like I have to stare at the blue line."
Dan Cleary and Mike Comrie both scored for the Coyotes, who posted their second straight tie and had their winless streak extended to 15 games (0-8-4-3).
Brian Boucher made 32 saves for Phoenix, which remains winless under interim head coach Rick Bowness (0-7-3-3).
"We want to win so bad," Coyotes forward Shane Doan said. "We have to find a way to win for [Bowness]. I really felt snake bit. Once these [winless streaks] get started, they get a mind all their own."
