NHL Game Summary - Florida at Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Roberto Luongo made 34 saves and earned the 20th shutout of his career to lead the Florida Panthers to a 2-0 victory over Pittsburgh at Mellon Arena.
Kristian Huselius and Juraj Kolnik scored both Florida goals, as the Panthers won their ninth straight over the Penguins.
Luongo also earned his fourth career shutout versus Pittsburgh and it marked his eighth straight victory over the Penguins. Luongo was peppered during all three periods, as the Pens fired 11 shots on him in each of the first two periods and 12 in the final 20 minutes.
"I got lucky a couple of times," Luongo said.
Andy Chiodo stopped 30 of the 32 shots he faced in just his second career NHL game, as the Penguins lost their 17th straight overall and 13th consecutive at home. Chiodo has stopped 60 of the 66 shots he has faced in his first two games since being called up from the American Hockey League.
Pittsburgh is only one loss away from becoming the first NHL team to lose 18 consecutive games in one season. The Pens next game is against Ottawa on Sunday.
"We are in an unbelievably tough stretch," said Penguins head coach Eddie Olczyk.
Huselius put the Panthers on top 1-0 less than two minutes into the second period with his eighth of the season. The forward took a pass from Eric Beaudoin at the edge of the left circle and backhanded a shot that breezed pass Chiodo's glove.
Kolnik scored the game's final goal at the 11:42 mark of the second period as he stole the puck from Pittsburgh defenseman Dan Focht in the neutral zone and skated in on Chiodo. Kolnik lifted a wrister that beat Chiodo gloveside as Focht tried to catch up, but failed to make a play on the shot. It was Kolnik's 10th of the season.
The Penguins had a few good opportunities to score on Luongo in the third period, but Rico Fata missed on a breakaway and Ryan Malone fanned on a one- timer.
Game Notes Florida won for the first time in the last four games (1-2-1)...The Panthers are 10-3-2 in the last 15 meetings with Pittsburgh.
