Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - Marty Turco stopped 23-of-24 shots to lead Dallas to a 2-1 win over Nashville at the American Airlines Center.
Brenden Morrow and Jason Arnott both scored for the Stars, who won their third straight game and fifth in their last seven tries (5-1-1). They are unbeaten in the last four (3-0-1) against Nashville.
Turco allowed two goals or less for the seventh straight game. Dallas killed off seven power plays to extend its streak to 35 straight penalty kills.
Dan Hamhuis scored for the Predators, who have just one win in their last nine games (1-3-3-2). Tomas Vokoun made 15 saves in the loss.
Morrow's eighth goal of the season, on the power play, staked Dallas to a 1-0 edge in the first period. He scored on a wrist shot from the left slot with 7:55 left in the first.
The Stars, who have one loss in their last nine at home (6-1-2), took a 2-0 lead on Arnott's ninth goal, a backhand from between the circles, 4:57 into the second period.
Nashville, which had a goal disallowed in the second due to a high stick, pulled within one goal in the third period.
Hamhuis beat Turco with a backhand shot from the slot at 6:47 of the third to cap the scoring.
Dallas forward Jere Lehtinen missed the game with the flu...The Stars extended their unbeaten streak when leading after the second period to 49 games...The Predators fell to 6-8-1-1 on the road.
