Edmonton, AB (Sports Network) - Dan Cloutier earned his first shutout of the season to lead Vancouver to a 3-0 win over Edmonton at Rexall Place.
Cloutier made 24 saves to post his 11th career shutout for the Canucks, who won for the third time in four games.
Markus Naslund, Mike Keane and Jarkko Ruutu all scored for Vancouver, which is unbeaten in its last seven meetings with the Oilers, including five straight in Edmonton (6-0-1).
Ty Conklin made 28 saves for the Oilers, who have only two wins in their last 14 games (2-8-4).
The Canucks scored twice in the second period to go ahead 2-0. Naslund opened the scoring 26 seconds into the period with a wrist shot from the left faceoff circle.
Keane delivered an unassisted tally with 9:58 left in the period. He gathered a wrist shot and converted a wrister from the slot.
Ruutu added an unassisted goal 6:34 into the third period to put Vancouver ahead 3-0. After intercepting an outlet pass, he fired a shot on Conklin, got his own rebound and scored on a high wrist shot.
Vancouver had two shutouts this season, both by the same score against the Oilers...The Canucks improved to 9-6-2-2 on the road...Naslund posted his fourth game-winning goal of the season...Ruutu went 26 games between goals...Edmonton is 1-6-1 in its last eight home games.
