Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 38 shots to post his first shutout of the season and lead Anaheim to a 1-0 win over Colorado at the Pond.
Sergei Fedorov scored the game's only goal for the Ducks, who won for the first time in three games and captured their second victory in 12 meetings with Colorado (2-8-2).
David Aebischer stopped 29 shots for the Avalanche, who are winless in their last four (0-2-2).
Anaheim took a 1-0 lead on Fedorov's power-play goal, his 11th of the season, with 5:22 left in the first period. Working a give-and-go with Petr Sykora, he scored on a slap shot from the left faceoff circle.
The Ducks dominated the first, outshooting Colorado 15-5.
In the second period, the Avalanche controlled play. They posted a 17-9 shot advantage, but could not find the net.
