NHL Game Summary - Minnesota at Colorado

Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Pascal Dupuis and Filip Kuba both scored in the first period to lead Minnesota to a 3-2 win over Colorado at the Pepsi Center.
Sergei Zholtok also scored for the Wild, who earned their third straight victory and their first in the arena in 10 regular-season games (1-7-2). Dwayne Roloson stopped 27 shots.
Joe Sakic scored twice for the Avalanche, who had an eight-game unbeaten streak snapped (4-0-4). Milan Hejduk and Steve Konowalchuk each added two assists.
Dupuis posted his sixth goal of the season at 4:39 of the first period for Minnesota. He beat David Aebischer with a wrist shot from between the circles.
Aebischer, the Colorado goaltender, turned away 25 shots.
Kuba's power-play goal 8:55 later put the team ahead 2-0. He gathered a loose puck that floated through the crease and scored on a high shot.
Sakic pulled the Avalanche within 2-1 with 12:36 remaining in the second period. His backhand shot from the center point fluttered through traffic and past Roloson.
The Wild opened a 3-1 lead on Zholtok's third goal of the season with 6:27 left in the second. Antti Laaksonen's backhand pass set up Zholtok in the slot.
Sakic got Colorado within 3-2 with 3:07 to go in the period on a high wrist shot from the right faceoff circle for his 11th of the year.
Before the game, the Wild acquired left wing Eric Chouinard in a trade with Philadelphia. Minnesota gave up a fifth-round pick in the 2004 NHL draft...Sakic has 29 points (10 goals) in his last 22 games for Colorado...
