Shane Doan also scored and Ladislav Nagy delivered two assists for the Coyotes, who won for the first time in nine games against Dallas (1-5-3) and improved to 4-1-2 in their last seven overall.

Dallas held a 16-7 shot advantage in the first period, but Doan's 11th goal of the season, at 8:27, put the Coyotes ahead 1-0. He converted on a wrist shot from the left circle.

Late in the second period, Stars goaltender Marty Turco got caught on the left boards. Phoenix forward Landon Wilson gathered the puck in the right circle and fired a shot at the empty net. But defenseman John Erskine stepped in the crease and blocked the shot.

Langkow extended the Phoenix advantage to 2-0 just 4:29 into the third period. Nagy carried the puck into the right faceoff circle, then fed a pass towards the slot. Langkow redirected the puck inside the left post and past Turco.

Turco finished with 16 saves for Dallas, which has just one win in its last 11 road games (1-9-1).

Daley's first career goal, 3:51 later on the power play, got the Stars within 2-1. Bill Guerin fed a cross-ice pass into the left faceoff circle, where the defenseman beat Burke with a wrist shot.
